The J.Lindeberg “Wilhelm” coat is a designer performance garment that sacrifices nothing in the way of style. Created in 2012 by head designer Jessy Heuvelink, the coat is constructed of luxurious Italian Loro Piana Storm System fabric. Built with a breathable membrane, the “Wilhelm” is both waterproof and wind resistant. As opposed to other brands that use internal plastic underlayers for water and wind resistance, this J.Lindeberg performance garment maintains its comfort and drape.
To maximize the combination of style and function, the versatile “Wilhelm” coat also featured ultra-lightweight finishes and a detachable inner vests for maximum temperature control. The vests are woven, padded, or knitted. With the “Wilhelm” coat or on their own the vests are a fun and versatile fashion accessory.
As exciting as the J.Lindeberg “Wilhelm” coat was this winter, there is more great fashion to come this Spring. J.Lindeberg featured their Spring/Summer 2013 Menswear collection during Mercedes-Benz Stockholm Fashion Week in Stockholm, Sweden. The Spring menswear collection features vibrant colors, elegant styling, and performance materials. New colors are a liberating surprise in the collection and are juxtaposed with a plethora of brown, oatmeal, and beige suits and accessories. An impressive selection and mix of jackets and trousers are offered in a playful variety of colors and textures including plaid.
As a fan of J.Lindeberg menswear I am always excited to see the new collections. In the interim, I will source J.Lindeberg as possible for photo shoots and for the men in my life.
